Eucalyptus Globulus (China)

BOTANICAL PORTRAIT Eucalyptus is a majestic evergreen tree that grows very tall (up to 270 feet tall). Young Eucalyptus Trees have almost a turquoise leaves while mature trees have long, yellowish leaves. Eucalyptus Trees have white flowers and grey bark. SOURCE Eucalyptus is primarily native to Australia but can also be found in areas like New Guinea, Indonesia and in the North Philippines.ORIGIN  As a traditional cure in Australia, the leaves of the Eucalyptus Tree would be used to treat bronchitis and croup and was smoked to treat asthma. Today, Eucalyptus has many medicinal purposes. PRINCIPLE CONSTITUENTS Eucalyptus contains Cineole, Pinene, Globulol, Camphene, Limonene and Pinocarvone. HISTORYEucalyptus has been used for a long time in Australia medicinally to treat many problems and is still used for medicinal purposes today. In Spain, Eucalyptus was used as lumber for construction.
