BOTANICAL PORTRAIT  Cistus is a small and sticky shrub that grows beautiful white and red flowers that are the source of the Cistus Essential Oil. Cistus is produced by steam distillation with a dry, sweet aroma. SOURCE The Cistus Plant is Native to the Mediterranean Region and the Middle East in countries like France, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Syria, and Greece. ORIGINThe Cistus Plant has been used for thousands of years by a number of civilizations and cultures to help heal skin infections and promote general skin health. PRINCIPLE CONSTITUENTS Cistus Blend contains mainly Citral because of its citrusy nature as well as many other chemicals that appear in trace amounts that are vital to the properties of the oil.
