BOTANICAL PORTRAIT  The Cardamon grows up to 4m high and bears a perennial, reed-like herb. Cardamon's leaves are long, green silky blades with small yellow flowers with a violet tip similar to Ginger. SOURCE Cardamom is cultivated in India and Sri Lanka; however, it grows wild all around the world.ORIGIN   In Chinese and Indian Medicine, Cardamon was used for pulmonary disease, fever, digestive and urinary complaints. Cardamon was used extensively as a spice domestically. PRINCIPLE CONSTITUENTS Cardamom is 38% 1,8 Cineole, 42% Terpinyl Acetate and also contains Linalool, Linalyl Acetate, Pinene and Zingiberene.
